SCHEMA THERAPY
Schema Therapy is for those who wish to deeply understand the conflict themes driving their narratives and live more fully in accordance to their beliefs and values. Balanced Mind of New York can help.
Schema therapy addresses maladaptive patterns (called schemas) that develop early in life. These schemas shape a person’s core beliefs and coping mechanisms, impacting their relationships and emotional well-being. Schema therapy identifies and challenges these ingrained patterns, fostering emotional insight and healthier ways of being.
EMDR THERAPY
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is a short-term treatment that resolves trauma symptoms caused by distressing life events.
During EMDR sessions, individuals recall distressing memories while engaging in guided eye movements. This process helps desensitize the emotional charge associated with traumatic memories, enabling individuals to reprocess these experiences in a more adaptive manner.
EMDR accelerates the healing process and alleviates anxiety and trauma responses.
