How I Can Help
Marisa works with individuals who are ready to understand themselves more fully and create meaningful transformation. Her work focuses on trauma, attachment concerns, anxiety, personality and relationship challenges, and cycles of self-defeating behavior. Drawing from CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, she tailors each session to meet the client’s unique needs.
Her approach emphasizes compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Marisa believes that healing is most effective when clients feel understood and supported, fostering clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of peace. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys traveling (with Belize next on the list), running along the West Side Highway, and spending time with friends and family. She has also studied improv, appreciating its lessons in creativity, connection, and humor. Her cat, Roger, is a frequent and comforting presence during teletherapy sessions. Marisa regularly contributes to mental health publications, and her articles can be found on her website.
